welcome!

hey there! it’s-a me!

Born and raised in the Midwest with a heart for Jesus, adventure and truth. I’m a wife, a visionary, and a creative enthusiast.

I’m mesmerized by the world we live in and have always looked for beauty in small places. A bumblebee buzzing past, the sound of water splashing on the bow of a boat and the birth of new baby rabbits in my backyard. My youth was characterized by passion and rebellion and I’m learning how to use those for the good of others, and the glory of God. My style is soft yet bold, celebratory and warm. I lose time in long conversations about the honesty of life and crave intentionality. On a good day, I dance. On a bad day, I grab an iced latte and snuggle up with my husband. And on the days I’m feeling nostalgic, I scream Fleetwood Mac and Sheryl Crow to the setting sun.

I live with my husband, Sean and our two fur balls. I love them both to pieces. We didn’t intend on getting a kitten but when a stray showed up with those EYES I couldn’t turn away. She is my favorite cuddle buddy (after Sean, of course) and a joy on hard days. Our pup is 100% Sean’s dog, but he has come around to lovin’ me, too. We are soon-to-be foster parents and all-time-lovers of our community.

Really, I’m just your average run-into-the-fridge-daily kind of gal.

I’ve left the stove on three times this month and I am hopeful that one day, I won’t. In this current season, I make coconut bowls when I’m feeling snack-ish and whip out my film camera when I’m feeling creative.

I am learning, slowly, how to create as a joy, and not as a burden. I spent a lot of my life having to show up perfectly with my art and so one day, out of my stubbornness (shocker!) I just stopped. But, in 2019 when I picked up the camera again, I re-entered into something I had long forgotten - a life of creative inclination. My hope and prayer is that as a creative, and really that all of us creatives, do this as a joy, as a delight, as one with hope.

Lover of all things spicy. Faithful friend. Plant enthusiast. I believe that redemption is found in the mundane and my hope is that I get to use this gift God has given me to celebrate as many humans as I can.

from my family to yours - we can’t wait to meet you!
