Clean Living | Branding Session

Quad Cities, IL

We all start somewhere, don’t we? For Leah, it was the same. A lover of makeup, beauty and all things salon inspired, she spent a vast majority of her life living in and loving America’s beauty industry.

When she got pregnant with her first child, she had a thought. What if this stuff isn’t all it’s cracked up to be? This was the moment that changed her understanding of the industry forever. One step at a time, Leah began to learn of toxins surrounding our beauty products and began replacing them with cleaner products. And, after a lot of research, a company that shares her values and evenings hard at work, Girl Gone Green was formed. With a hope for a better world and a heart dedicated to her community, Leah pours her heart and soul into educating women on the beauty of clean living.

What tools do you use for your business?

A FAVORITE question of mine to ask. After asking Leah, she shared that her primary job is a wife, a mother and a faithful, hardworking housekeeper. And following that, she is an advocate, an educator, and a promoter of clean beauty and clean living.

Leah owns her own business as a clean beauty advocate and entrepreneur, and much of this as I learned, is done on her phone. These next set of photos serve a few purposes - to show Leah behind the scenes as an entrepreneur, to showcase the reality of working from home, and to capture a few products that she advocates for and shares with her clients.

Oh… and all of that? Powered by Jesus and a whole lot of coffee.

———

She also proudly owns her own garden and grows her own veggies. Why was this important to capture, you might ask?

Every year, she shares tons of information and research with her clients not just about clean beauty but about clean living. This varies from clean products to even how to grow your own food!

Remember all that talk about being an advocate.. an educator?

Well, here is the scoop!

Leah is an advocate for a company called Crunchi. Through Crunchi, she is able to be a part of an authentic community, create income for her family and  make a positive impact in the lives of others. Crunchi is at the forefront of the clean beauty movement and their statement is this:

“… a movement created by everyday women who have become more aware of the potentially harmful ingredients found in their daily use cosmetics and are seeking safer alternatives. One of the most important things a consumer can be is both conscious and educated about the ingredients in their products and how they affect our bodies. Knowledge is power!

Aint that the truth! As a core income maker, we spent a lot of time photographing Leah and the products she advocates for. And again, as a holistic approach, we made sure to tie in the reality that she is also an educator of all things clean living.

And what happens after the clients leave? Leah gets right back to work planning and researching and educating her customers. And always ending the day where she began - in community and for the love of all things clean.

and of course, as any good branding session would have…

there’s always a headshot or two.
